fact of networks is that every networked device is constantly
sending out a "Hello, I exist here." signal. This broadcast signal
consumes network bandwidth and other resources. If you put 30 to 35
desktops onto a single router, you can bring the network traffic to
a crawl or a halt with nothing but broadcast signals. This is a
called a "Broadcast Storm".
